April 18, 2000 - SofTec Microsystems has announced the development of inDART-ST7, a powerful entry level tool for all STMicroelectronics ST7-based systems. The tool takes advantage of SofTec Microsystems' inSIDE Integrated Development Environment and the ISP-programmable FLASH memory of the ST7 family of microcontrollers.
SofTec Microsystems inSIDE software (for Windows 9x/Me/2000/NT) enables you to run programs, watch variables, single-step through the code and set breakpoints. Together with inSIDE, inDART provides you with everything you need to program, in-circuit emulate and debug user code. Full speed program execution allows you to perform hardware and software testing in real-time. inDART is connected to the PC through a LPT parallel port, while the 10-pin probe of the product fits into the target's standard ISP connector.
inDART offers full control over and visualization of the microcontroller's internal and external resources. Different windows are available for displaying the application Source Code, Data and Code memory, Registers and Stack. A preliminary target board check can be performed via the inDART I/O Manager before any firmware is developed-resulting in a faster and simpler initial hardware troubleshooting phase. The VirtualScreen facility allows you to output application data to a dedicated inSIDE window and trace the software execution in real-time with a minimum waste of target resources. SofTec Microsystems foresees the inDART-ST7 quantity market delivery for Q4, 2000. End-user price for the system is 195.00 Euros.
