June 11, 2003 - SofTec Microsystems has announced the development of a new series of low-cost in-circuit debuggers/programmers for all of the derivatives of the Motorola HCS08 family of microcontrollers.

The tools will be designed around SofTec Microsystems' proprietary inDART technology and will be provided with a powerful Metrowerks CodeWarrior IDE. The new inDART-HCS08 series will feature a convenient USB connection to the host computer, and it is foreseen to be available for purchase on September 2003. Evaluation boards will be available on Design Kit packages.

The inDART-HCS08 series will complete the range of in-circuit debuggers/programmers developed by SofTec Microsystems for the Motorola 68HC(S)08 8-bit and 68HC(S)12 16-bit microcontrollers.
